چکیده
Due to the construction technology of roller compacted concrete (RCC) gravity dams, there are many weak layers that have potential affect seismic performance dams. However, research on response and failure characteristics RCC dams considering their layered characteristic is still lacking. In this paper, zero-thickness cohesive element presented model mechanical behavior layers. An impacted beam selected verify its effects simulating crack propagation. Subsequently, damaged plasticity utilized under loading. The dynamic interaction in dam-reservoir-foundation system considered by coupled acoustic-structural method, whose rationality validated mode analysis Koyna dam 1967 earthquake. algorithms applied investigate influence layer at different elevations process Guandi dam. On basis, well-bonded set intervals along nonlinear modes strong earthquakes further investigated. results reveal will anti-seismic capacity damage significantly changed. addition, Increasing displacement energy dissipation can be observed. Meanwhile, lead more severe same input.

–This paper presents the main features and organization of STAADPRO, a computer program that has been developed for the static and seismic stability evaluations of concrete gravity dams. STAADPRO is based on the gravity method using rigid body equilibrium and beam theory to perform stress analyses, compute crack lengths, and safety factors. Seismic analyses could be done using either the pseudo...

متن کاملSeismic Response of 3D Steel Buildings considering the Effect of PR Connections and Gravity Frames
The nonlinear seismic responses of 3D steel buildings with perimeter moment resisting frames (PMRF) and interior gravity frames (IGF) are studied explicitly considering the contribution of the IGF. The effect on the structural response of the stiffness of the beam-to-column connections of the IGF, which is usually neglected, is also studied. It is commonly believed that the flexibility of shear...
